Redmond, 1911

Redmond was named for Frank T. Redmond, who settled near the town site in 1905. The town was plated in 1906. During World War II, an air force base was established in Redmond changing the shape of the town forever. Today, Roberts Field in Redmond provides air service to Deschutes County. Redmond is also home to the Deschutes County Fair and Expo Center, hosting the Deschutes County Fair every August.
