HERITAGE WALKING TOUR- Early Days of Bend
July 7, 2018 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am$5.00
The Early Days of Bend
Travel back to when the river was wild, Ponderosa Pines were plentiful and “Bend the Beautiful” was a town in the making. Your tour guide will share stories of six “Bend-ites” and how they helped transform a young hamlet into a booming town. You’ll stroll through old neighborhoods, discover a secret path, and follow the river during your hour outing.
We recommend the following: wear comfortable walking shoes, dress for the weather, bring water, and don’t forget your camera! Although our guides search for shade along the way it does get hot and a hat is advisable. The tour begins at the Deschutes Historical Museum and ends outside Lone Crow Bungalow in downtown Bend. Please check in at the admissions desk five minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
Tour Time: 1 hour
