Worrell Wayside, A Part of Bend’s History-
Join in the celebration of Historic Preservation Month by visitng Worrell Wayside Park

Explore one of the city’s high points that sits along a crest of multiple lobes of basalt passing through Bend. The basalt of Bend originates from buried vents near the 7000 year old Mokst Butte about 15 miles south of Worrell Wayside Park. The park’s lobe is approximately 75,000 years old.

-Explore the park, observe pollinators and other wildlife
– Take a short self-guided 1/2 mile walk through a section of downtown Bend (map provided)
– Stop by the Deschutes Historical Museum’s Pop-Up booth, on-site.
