Fourth of July Open House

Join the Deschutes County Historical Society as we celebrate the 46th Birthday of the Deschutes Historical Museum AND the 250th Anniversary of our nation’s independence!

The museum will be open all day with free admission. Visitors will be treated with frozen treats, games, and a look at the entries of our newest event, “History Bricks!”
This is the best opportunity to see the new exhibit, “The Moments that Made US.” Explore important moments in Oregon and Central Oregon history that shaped our identity and set us apart.
This exhibit follows the history of how the United States acquired and shaped Oregon. It is a timeline driven by exploration, diplomacy, and the mass migration of settlers, among other events.
